Campaigns

Whether it's to call for an end to child labour and sweatshops or to denounce violations of human rights, the PSAC has been at the forefront of many campaigns. The PSAC continues this long tradition of social justice advocacy through its Social Justice Fund.

• Stand up and Speak Out 2009
  
  We can't fight poverty without Quality Public Services

  October 16 - 18, 2009

  The Public Service Alliance of Canada invites you to stand together in unity with millions of people around the world to send a message to our leaders that we must STAND UP and TAKE ACTION in support of the eradication of extreme poverty.

• STAND UP to end poverty and SPEAK OUT for public services!
  
  Last year, more than 23 million people in 87 countries stood up to remind world leaders of their promise to cut extreme poverty by half by 2015. On October 17, we're aiming for at least 50 million people to stand up and remind world leaders of their promise.

• Ribbons for Humanity
  
  The red ribbon is the International Symbol of solidarity for the struggle against HIV/AIDS. These beaded ribbons are made by women and children affected by HIV/AIDS and sold through the self-help project, The Centre in Harare, Zimbabwe and by the Mother's Love Community Self-Help Project in Durban, South Africa.

  The SJF will support anti-poverty initiatives in Canada.
