aidsbeads.gifRibbons for Humanity - A GIFT FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

The red ribbon is the International Symbol of solidarity for the struggle against HIV/AIDS.  Proceeds from the sale of these ribbons will go toward the HIV/AIDS program in Zimbabwe and the Pauktuutit's HIV/AIDS program in the Canadian North.

The Canadian Inuit HIV/AIDS Network (CIHAN) was developed by Pauktuutit, the national organization representing Inuit women.  In the past six years, Pauktuutit and its CIHAN projects have played a lead role in developing HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C prevention education, creating community-based awareness and facilitating information sharing across communities and regions.

The Centre in Harare, Zimbabwe, is the only organization run exclusively by and for people living with HIV and AIDS in the country.  It currently runs six programs, including education, prevention and income generation aimed at assisting vulnerable and orphaned youth in Zimbabwe.  The programs further facilitate their access to vitamin supplements and antiretroviral drugs.  The sale of these ribbons will also help pay tuition fees for young victims of HIV/AIDS.

What better gift than that of hope.   They also make great stocking stuffers. Contribute in the name of your loved ones.

Wondering what you can give to someone who has everything?  Give the Ribbon for Humanity!  Only $10
