Colombian Union of Postal Workers: Organizing Conference to defend jobs and labour rights

PSAC Social Justice Fund and the CUPW through is International Postal Fund have pledged to provide support for the continued struggle of the Colombian Union of Postal Workers (STPC).

In the defense of universal postal services

The two unions have assisted the STPC in convening a major organizing conference to launch its resistance strategy, and in ensuring that the fight of postal workers in Colombia is widely known here and internationally.  The conference addressed changes to by-laws in order to broaden coverage and organize the entire postal sector, in an effort to provide guidance to all workers on their labour and union rights. The amazing determination of the postal workers to continue resisting in the face of immense barriers and great personal danger is an inspiration to us all.
